Scatterplot
I put myself almost in the middle of the graph, except a little more towards the power to the people side and a little more towards states rights. I did this because I feel when a state has its own rights and doesn't have a big brother stepping on its foot all the time it will grow and develop based on the people who live in that states needs and wants. This also gives people more power to customize their own state, and seeings as its a smaller group of people to please rather than the whole country it makes it easier to make decisions. Of course, if one state is not pleasing the people or effecting another state I think the federal government should step in to stop them.
Power over vs power to
I think the whole topic is very interesting because when you think about it power is one of the most important if not the most important factor in our society today. I think that the whole "power over inst always a bad thing" could be an interesting topic to base a ted talk or senior project off of.
Power
Power has many definitions. From wealth to weapons and everything in between. In my eyes, power is having friends. Think about it, people are stronger in numbers, and If you have friends in high places, it can bring both wealth, weapons and everything in between. Now I don't just mean this in a "taking over the world" sense, I also mean this strategy can be used within bushiness and other real life situations including but not limited to: Going on dates, becoming the CEO of your law firm, taking a stroll in the park and getting mugged but having a friend who saves you.

In my eyes, somebody who has made America a better union is Abraham Lincoln, (that may sound cliche) Because he was one of the most important figures (if not THE most) in unionizing America, or at least half of it, in order to abolish slavery and show the America that it is morally incorrect.
My political philosophy is equality. I do not believe in a world in which people are treated differently just because of their skin color, the way they look, and their sexuality; even though that is the world we live in now. I believe that all people should be treated equally. My political philosophy is a world without war, in which we could be free of bloodshed over petty things like oil and more land to put our oil rigs on. A world where we could trade for things instead of killing for them.

Issues that need adressing
I think one of the issues we could address would be a local issue, maybe something like volunteering at the soup kitchen as a class for a month, we could have 3 teams of students with about 7 kids in each and they take shifts volunteering.
We could also do something in the school, like host a banquet or some kind of activity that improves student relations throughout seniors all the way to freshman, playing games that tie each other together (3 legged races) with somebody you don't know and other bonding experiences.
